1. What Cart Freeze is

Cart Freeze is a free Chrome browser extension that introduces a brief, intentional pause before online checkout actions. It is designed as a personal mindfulness aid for managing impulse purchases. By installing or using Cart Freeze, you agree to these terms.

2. Free to use

Cart Freeze is free forever. No subscription, no payment, no account required. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future, but the core freeze functionality will always remain free.

3. No guarantees on compatibility

Cart Freeze is provided to you as a convenience, but we cannot guarantee that:

• The extension will intercept every checkout button on every website
• The extension will remain functional if websites update their checkout flows
• The extension will be available on all future versions of Chrome
• The extension will prevent any specific purchase or produce any financial outcome

Online shopping sites frequently redesign their checkout experiences. We do our best to keep the interception logic updated, but some sites may not be covered.

4. Not a blocking tool

Cart Freeze never blocks purchases. You can always click "Continue" or close the modal to proceed with your intended purchase. The extension adds a moment of reflection - the decision is always yours. Cart Freeze is a mindfulness aid, not a parental control or spending limit enforcer.

5. Acceptable use

By using Cart Freeze, you agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law
• Use the extension in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Send fraudulent, synthetic, or automated data to our analytics endpoint
• Attempt to overload or disrupt our analytics server
• Remove, circumvent, or bypass the extension's rate-limiting or security features

6. Intellectual property

Cart Freeze, its name, and its characters (Betty, Chip, Mochi, Nube) and associated artwork are the intellectual property of Camilo Castillo Suescun. You may not use the Cart Freeze name, logo, or characters for commercial purposes without written permission.

The extension's source code is available for inspection on GitHub under the terms specified in the repository's license file.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Cart Freeze is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the extension is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Camilo Castillo Suescun and Cart Freeze shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the extension
• Any purchase decision you make, with or without the extension's intervention
• Any loss of data or interruption of service

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or use of the extension shall not exceed zero (0), reflecting that the extension is provided free of charge.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia.

If you are an EEA consumer, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections provided by your country's law, which these terms do not override.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the extension or its listing on the Chrome Web Store.
